What This Role Is All About
As a Driver: Packaged Distribution, your main responsibility will be to safely transport products and raw materials within our plant in Losberg and to external delivery points as required. You’ll be expected to maintain the highest standards in safety and product handling, especially when working with sensitive materials such as explosives.
Key Responsibilities You’ll Handle
- Driving and Delivery Duties
You’ll be responsible for transporting both finished products and raw materials. This includes driving within the Losberg plant premises and making deliveries to customers or other facilities. - Assist with Distribution Processes
While driving is your main focus, you’ll also need to assist with packaged distribution tasks when required. That could mean helping load or offload goods, conducting safety checks, or organizing materials for delivery. - Upholding Safety Protocols
At BME, safety isn’t negotiable. You’ll be expected to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the handling and transport of dangerous goods. Your ability to remain calm and careful under pressure will be a huge asset. - Equipment Monitoring and Fault Reporting

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) or Equivalent
- A valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license
- A valid Dangerous Goods Permit
- At least 1 year of experience in a production or industrial environment
- (Advantageous) Experience working in an explosives-handling environment
