What the Role Involves: More Than Just Cleaning

As a Hygiene Operator, your main responsibility is to carry out Ecowize’s specialized 10-Step Cleaning Process. This process ensures that each site is not only clean but also compliant with food safety standards.

You’ll play a key role in making sure that production areas are hygienic and safe for food processing. This is a hands-on, physical role, ideal for someone who enjoys active work and can manage a fast-paced routine.

Your Daily Duties Will Include:

• Performing the 10-Step Cleaning Process every day to meet food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensuring your work environment is always clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Supporting all operational cleaning activities, including CIP (Clean-In-Place) and Deep Clean operations.
• Following cleaning schedules strictly and completing your tasks within designated timelines.
• Maintaining a positive relationship with the client and being responsive to their hygiene-related concerns.
• Reporting on chemical usage and managing chemical stock accurately.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is best suited for someone who’s detail-oriented, physically active, and understands the importance of maintaining hygiene in food facilities. We’re hiring 35 team players who are reliable, punctual, and willing to work shifts—including weekends.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric certificate)
• Deep cleaning experience is essential
• Experience working in dry plant cleaning is a plus
• Experience handling and managing chemical stock
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working in a strict, process-driven environment
